Argishti Kyaramyan appointed chairman of the Investigative Committee
Armenia’s former security chief Argishti Kyaramyan was appointed Chairman of the Investigative Committee. The respective decree was signed by acting PM Nikol Pashinyan and is published on the official website of the Government.
To note, from June 2018, Kyaramyan held senior positions in various government agencies. In May 2020, he was appointed the deputy director of the National Security Service (NSS), and on 8 June 2020, he was promoted to the director of the Armenian NSS. Kyaramyan was dismissed from this post on 8 October 2020, during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh War and was later appointed deputy chairman of the Investigative Committee.
