Armenian defense ministry says it lost contact with two soldiers
The Armenian military lost contact on Wednesday with two of its servicemen on a military duty with a vehicle belonging to the Defense Ministry, the Ministry said in a statement. The servicemen are identified as Artur Nalbandyan and driver Aramayis Torozyan, serving in a military base deployed to the south-eastern direction of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, the contact was lost at down on July 14 amid dense fog. Search and rescue operations were launched immediately which have not given result thus far, the ministry said, adding at the mediation of the Russian side the military are in talks with Azerbaijani representatives to find out the possibility of the servicemen crossing into the Azerbaijani territory.
The source detailed that Artur Nalbandyan and Aramayis Torosyan carried no arms.
