Armenia’s crisis management center handles 288 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 614 calls from 19 to 25 July, of which 288 were emergency cases.
The number included 190 fire calls, 1 rock fall case, 3 strong wind cases, 2 explosion cases, 10 suicide attempts, 68 road traffic accidents, as well as 165 household calls, the ministry reported on Monday.
A total of 125 people were affected. 16 citizens were rescued due to emergency responders’ efforts.
The past week also saw 13 poisoning cases.
The crisis management center reported a total of 15 fatalities last week.
8 vehicles got stuck in the period due to the weather conditions or other circumstances. Rescuers rendered assistance to 13 citizens, taking 9 vehicles to a safe place.
