Counting Commission of Armenia’s parliament formed
Lawmakers discussed and adopted a draft decision on the establishment of the Counting Commission of the Armenian National Assembly of the eighth convocation in a vote of 65 for, 1 against and 14 abstentions at the inaugural parliament session on Monday.
Thus, the Counting Commission will include Civil Contract MPs Narek Babayan, Sarkis Khandanyan, Lilit Minasyan, Kristine Poghosyan, Hovik Aghazaryan, Arusyak Manavazyan, Armenia bloc MPs Ashot Simonyan, Agnesa Khamoyan and I’m Honored bloc MP Taguhi Tovmasyan.
In the near future, the Counting Commission of the National Assembly will hold its first sitting to elect a chairman and a secretary.
The following items are on the agenda of the first parliament session:
1) establishment of the Counting Commission;
2) election of the National Assembly speaker;
3) election of three deputy speakers of the National Assembly;
4) establishment of standing committees;
5) election of the chairpersons of standing committees.
