Armenian General Staff chief hosts Russian ambassador
Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian military, Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan on Tuesday hosted Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
The meeting was connected with the completion of the military-diplomatic mission of the defense attaché of the Russian Embassy in Armenia and the appointment of a new attaché, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
Davtyan congratulated the newly appointed attaché, Colonel Igor Shcherbakov and wished him success in his further mission in Armenia. The army chief also thanked Colonel Andrey Grischuk for his efficient work.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of military cooperation and regional security.
