Edgar Ghazaryan: Another general, who demanded Pashinyan's resignation, sacked
Another general, who demanded the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan and his cabinet back in February, has been dismissed, Edgar Ghazaryan, former Chief of Staff of Armenia’s Constitutional Court, said on Wednesday.
“On 2 August 2021, in parallel with the appointment of Nikol Pashinyan, the greatest enemy and traitor of the Armenian nation, Prime Minister of Armenia and members of his criminal group to various positions, his stooge, President Armen Sarkissian dismissed Major-General Valerik Kocharyan as Head of the Combat Readiness Department of the General Department of Military Preparedness of the Armenian Armed Forces,” Ghazaryan wrote on Facebook.
“He was one of the high-ranking officers, who demanded the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan and his cabinet on February 21, 2021.
“Unfortunately, the military’s top brass failed to demonstrate determination to achieve the fulfillment of their reasonable demand, continuing to obey the traitor leading the country to destruction and serving his anti-national plans,” he said, adding the whole blame for Armenia's defeat in last year’s war will probably be shifted onto the dismissed generals and other senior officers in the near future.
Ghazaryan recalled that after demanding Pashinyan's resignation, the president dismissed 4 other senior military officers, including Lieutenant-General Karen Abrahamyan, Major-General Armen Vardanyan, Major-General Ishkhan Matevosyan and Major-General Grigory Khachaturov, at Pashinyan's proposal this year.
“In parallel with handing over the homeland to the enemy, the plan to break or destroy the army continues. We should not forget that Nikol Pashinyan has announced about thousands of criminal cases against many generals and officers who miraculously survived the war,” he said.
