Magnitude 3.5 quake hits near Armenia’s Bavra village
The Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations detected a magnitude 3.5 earthquake in the Armenia-Georgia border area on Saturday, August 7, at 8:28am local time.
The earthquake struck 19 km north-east of the village of Bavra in Shirak Province at a depth of 10 km.
The tremor measured magnitude 4-5 at the epicenter.
The jolts were felt in the villages of Bavra and Zuygaghbyur with magnitude 3 and in the town of Tashir in Lori Province with magnitude 2-3.
