Armenia’s consumer market sees 8.2% inflation in 12 months
In July 2021, 8.2% inflation was registered in Armenia’s consumer market to compare with July of the past year, while 0.5% inflation is recorded against June of the ongoing year.
According to the figures released by the country’s statistical service, in January-July 2021, the average monthly increase of consumer prices stood at 0.5%, while the figure was 0.15% in the previous year.
Consumer prices increased by 0.9-0.2% in all Armenian cities under study in April against March, with the highest inflation rates recorded in the town of Yeghegnadzor. Capital Yerevan saw a decrease of 0.6% in consumer prices last year.
