Tigran Abrahamyan: There are certainly some processes clandestinely taking place
Lawmaker from "I have Honour" faction, expert in security issues Tigran Abrahamyan has commented on the press release issued after the meeting between Armenian, Russian Defense Ministers on Wednesday.
Abrahamyan reminded Russian Minister Sergey Shoigu's statement about readiness to assist in the modernization and reform of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
"If the RA authorities have accepted that offer, the model of the army reconstruction and the expected replenishment of the Armed Forces are outlined. In parallel to this, we have Nikol PAshinyan's offer to Russia to assume the full protection of the country's borders. The impression is Armenia is handing the control of its security management to Russia. It is hard to say whether this is conditioned with growth of security challenges or whether there are other factors. The thing is there are certainly some processes clandestinely taking place," Abrahamyan wrote.
