Another earthquake recorded near Bavra, north of Armenia
On August 17, at 09:43 local time (at 05:43 GMT) the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of Armenia's Ministry of emergency Situations (MES) registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 and 10 kilometers depth with the geographic coordinates of 41.17⁰ in northern latitude and 43.95⁰ in eastern longitude. As the Seismic Protection Service said in a release, the quake was recorded on the 13th km north-east from Bavra town of Shirak province on Georgian-Armenian border.The magnitude of the earthquake in the epicenter was 4.
The earthquake was felt in Bavra and Ghazanchi villages of Shirak province of RA with the magnitude of 2-3, in Metsamor village of Lori province of RA with the magnitude of 2.
As reported earlier, two quakes were registered on the 16th km north-east from Bavra town of Shirak province on August 15. The magnitude of the earthquakes in the epicenter were 4.5 and 6.
