Tigran Abrahamyan: The border situation requires corresponding actions to be taken
Lawmaker from "I have Honour" opposition faction, expert in security studies Tigran Abrahamyan has analyzed the press statements released by the Ministry of Defense over the past day.
"As a result of the tragic outcome of the war and the disgraceful processes following it, number of villages in Gegharkunik and Syunik provinces have turned into borderline settlements. Apart from fortification works on the border area and the conduct of regular combat guard, there is need to build shelters. If there are places designated for shelters those should be improved, furnished, otherwise we should start from scratch," Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook, adding: "Azerbaijan is gradually shifting its target toward the civilian settlements, trying to increase the pressure. This implies relevant actions to be taken to respond to the situation."
