Russian peacekeepers provide drinking water to over 200 families in Artsakh
Within two days, the CSS units of the Russian peacekeeping contingent delivered about 15 tons of drinking water to the residents of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
According to the report, until the completion of repair and restoration work at the water station and the laying of a pipeline to the cities and regions of Nagorno-Karabakh, the military personnel of the peacekeeping contingent will provide local residents with water every day.
“The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent made a decision in connection with the appeal of the local self-government bodies of the city of Stepanakert to provide the local population with drinking water. Scheduled daily water delivery. To date, about 10 tons of drinking water have been issued to the local population,” said Vladislav Demkin, a spokesman for the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
It is noted that Russian peacekeepers also provide security during the laying of a water pipeline from an artesian well in the Martuni district to supply water to residents of the Tagavard and Karmir Shuka (Krasny Bazar) settlements.
