Tigran Abrahamyan: It's been 40 days we haven't heard any news about our servicemen lost in the area of Sev Lich
Lawmaker from opposition "I have Honour" faction Tigran Abrahamyan commented on the recent incident in the border area near Sev Lich area where two Armenian servicemen had lost.
"It's been 40 days we haven't heard any news about our servicemen lost in the area of Sev Lich (Black Lake). The leadership of the Defense Ministry and the General Staff speaks about everything except the fate of our two lost servicemen. This is not a regular incident, the one occurred during a war time," Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook.
To remind on July 14, the Armenian Defense Ministry lost contact with two of its servicemen on a military duty with a vehicle belonging to the Defense Ministry. The servicemen were identified as Artur Nalbandyan and driver Aramayis Torozyan, serving in a military base deployed to the south-eastern direction of the Republic of Armenia.
According to Ministry report, the contact was lost at down on July 14 amid dense fog. Search and rescue operations were launched immediately which have not given result thus far.
"The serviceman on the border does not feel the support of the state, its presence. This is not just an incident but speaks much of the criminal indifference of the leadership towards the armed forces and the overall situation in the border areas," concluded Abrahamyan.
