Armenian lawmakers throw water bottles as a new brawl breaks out in parliament
A new brawl erupted Wednesday inside the parliament between the opposition and ruling party lawmakers. The incident started when one of the deputies of the ruling "My Step" faction was delivering a speech. After remarks that all former defense ministers who have freed citizens from mandatory military service through bribes or calls are traitors, a water bottle was thrown toward the speaker.
The incident sparked an scuffle with lawmakers from both sides starting throwing bottles at each other. The Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan invited security officers to the session hall and announced a break.
This follows Tuesday's incident when opposition lawmaker from "I have Honour" faction Anna Mkrtchyan was removed from the parliament session hall by security officers who forcibly pull out her by grabbing her hair and punching opposition lawmakers.
