Armenia’s crisis management center handles 301 emergency cases in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 599 calls from August 23-29, of which 301 were emergency cases.
The number included 222 fire calls, 1 collapse case, 13 suicide attempts, 59 road traffic accidents, as well as 164 household calls, the ministry reported on Monday.
A total of 117 people were affected. 2 citizens were rescued due to rapid rescue operations.
The past week also saw 5 poisoning cases.
The crisis management center reported a total of 19 fatalities last week.
10 vehicles got stuck in the period due to the weather conditions or other circumstances. Rescuers rendered assistance to 15 citizens, taking 11 vehicles to a safe place.
