Temperatures set to drop sharply in Armenia
Temperatures remain high across Armenia as warm tropical air masses from Iraq have gripped the country, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Monday, warning of high risk of fires.
No precipitation is predicted in the country on 31 August, 1, 2 and 5 September.
In the afternoon of September 3-4, showers and thunderstorms are expected in some regions, with hail possible in separate places.
South-west wind speed is 5-10 m/s. During thunderstorms wind speed may reach up to 18-23 m/s.
Temperatures are set to drop by 9-11 degrees on September 3-4.
No precipitation is predicted in Yerevan in the daytime of 31 August and on September 1-5, the ministry said.
