Armenian FM received the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received on Monday the newly-appointed Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group from the Russian Federation Igor Khovaev, the press department at the ministry reported. According to the source, the parties discussed a wide range of issues, concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, pointing to the need of resumption of the peace process under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.
"Minister Mirzoyan expressed support of the Armenian side to the joint statements of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs adopted after the 44-day war, which highlight the need for a lasting and comprehensive settlement of the conflict based on the known principles and elements," said the ministry
Minister Mirzoyan has also stressed the urgent need for addressing the primary humanitarian issues. In this regards, the minister pointed to the the immediate and unconditional return of Armenian prisoners and civilians kept in Azerbaijan," the release said.
To remind, the Russian Co-Chairs Igor Khovaev had earlier visited Baku and met with Azerbaijani officials.
