No bodies found in search operations in Varanda on Sept. 8, Artsakh says
Continued search efforts to find casualties of the 2020 Artsakh war were unsuccessful on Wednesday, September 8, the State Service of Emergency Situations of Artsakh’s Interior Ministry reported.
No bodies or remains were found during the search operations conducted in the Varanda (Fizuli) region by one rescue squad.
Since the end of hostilities, a total of 1,659 bodies of Armenian soldiers and civilians have been found and recovered from the Artsakh territories temporarily occupied by Azerbaijan as a result of the 44-day war unleashed by it.
The State Service of Emergency Situations will provide further information on the upcoming search operations.
