742 soldiers and 80 civilians of Artsakh killed in last year’s war, ombudsman says
742 servicemen and 80 civilians of the Artsakh Republic were killed in the 44-day war in 2020, Artsakh Human Rights Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan told reporters on Wednesday.
At the same time, he warned against attempts to distinguish whether the killed soldiers were from Artsakh, Armenia’s Shirak Province or any other Armenian settlement.
Stepanyan said that currently 65 missing persons, including 45 servicemen and 20 civilians, are recorded in Artsakh, adding there has been no news of them to this point.
