Armenian sergeant killed at a military post
On September 13, at around 22:00, reserve staff sergeant Mkrtich Seryozha Hovakimyan (born in 1978) received a firearm injury at the combat position of the protection area of a military base located in the RA southeastern direction, Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday. According to initial information, the incident took place as a result of violation of combat service rules.
An investigation is launched to find out all circumstances of the incident, the Ministry said.
"The Defense Ministry of Armenia shares the grief of the loss and extends its condolences to the family members, relatives and fellow servicemen of the deceased sergeant.
