FM Mirzoyan: Efforts needed to deepen relations between Armenia, Slovakia
"Relations between Armenia and Slovakia have developed in all directions since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states, and today we reiterated that efforts are needed to further deepen them," Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated on Tuesday at a joint press conference with his Slovak counterpart Ivan Korčok in Yerevan.
To note, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Ivan Korčok is paying official visit to Armenia.
Minister Mirzoyan informed that the talks addresses the economic relations between the countries and pointed to the untaped potential in the sphere, in particular in direction of joint projects in energy, informational technology and green energy spheres.
Mirzoyan also expressed gratitude to Slovakia and its people for the support delivered during the pandemic and its adopted position on the recent Artsakh war through resolutions adopted by the executive and legislative powers of the country.
"We also discussed the tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and provocative actions of Azerbaijan to encroach on the territory of Armenia. we emphasized the need for peace talks to solve all issues, in particular, highlighting the need to continue the Nagorno Karabakh peace process under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group," said Mirzoyan.
