Armenian army chief, US defense attaché discuss security situation in Artsakh
Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan on Wednesday hosted newly appointed U.S. Defense Attaché to Armenia, Colonel Gregory Pipes.
He congratulated Pipes on assuming the post and wished him productive work, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Issues related to the security situation in Artsakh after the end of hostilities and the reforms in the army were discussed during the meeting.
"The parties reaffirmed their readiness to enhance the Armenian-US military cooperation, emphasizing that the current programs should be continued and new mutually beneficial directions should be introduced," reads the statement.
