Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan could not leave for Dushanbe to attend a joint meeting of foreign ministers, defense ministers and secretaries of national security councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on Wednesday due to a malfunction of the aircraft, Foreign Ministry spokesman Vahan Hunanyan told Aysor.am.
"But he will leave for Dushanbe, where he will participate in the activity of the CSTO structures tomorrow. A bilateral meeting is also on the agenda," the spokesman noted.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry released a photo following the meeting of foreign ministers, defense ministers and secretaries of national security councils of the CSTO, which showed that Armenia’s foreign and defense ministers did not attend it.
Hunanyan said that the plane was civilian, without further elaborating.
