Armenia institutes proceedings against Azerbaijan before International Court of Justice
Armenia has instituted proceedings against Azerbaijan before the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, with regard to alleged violations of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD).
In a statement on Thursday, the Representative of Armenia before the ECHR said that Armenia has requested the court to indicate certain provisional measures “as a matter of extreme urgency”, including the closure of the war trophy park and the release of Armenian prisoners of war and other detained persons.
