RA People’s Actress Zhenya Avetisyan passed away
Famous Armenian actress Zhenya Avetisyan has passed away, Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre said in a statement on Monday.
Born in 1941 in Yerevan, the actress graduated the Yerevan Institute of Art and Theatre in 1962. She has played more than 100 characters at Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre since 1964 and in Armenian cinematography. Avetisyan has featured in more than 20 films, among them "The Man from Olympus" (1974), "Gikor" (1982), "White Dreams" (1985) etc.
In 1984, Zhenya Avetisyan was awarded with Honored Artist and in 2004 - with People's Artist titles. As the theatre said, the day and time of visitation will be announced later.
