Blinken, Cavusoglu had a 'relatively long conversation' about the Caucasus
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu have had a "relatively long conversation about the Caucasus," senior State Department officials told a briefing on Tuesday, summing up U.S. engagements at the United Nations and on the margins of high-level week.
"While this afternoon’s meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu went about an hour, the two of them of course discussed Afghanistan at length. They also talked about Syria, and they had a relatively long conversation about the Caucasus – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh," according to the release by the State Department.
