Armenian FM meets with UN refugee chief Filippo Grandi
Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, on the margins of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly, met with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi on Thursday, September 23.
Mirzoyan drew his interlocutor's attention to the situation resulting from the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression unleashed against Artsakh and the following humanitarian issues. He particularly stressed the need to create conditions for the displaced Armenians of Artsakh to return to their homeland and to ensure the provision of their needs, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Armenian FM especially stressed the importance of implementation of humanitarian mission in Artsakh by international organizations, considering unacceptable the politicization of these issues and the creation of artificial obstacles by Azerbaijan.
