Evgeny Kissin to perform a new programme for the Armenian audience
Virtuoso pianist Evgeny Kissin will perform a solo concert in Yerevan within the framework of the 22nd "Yerevan Perspectives" International Music Festival. The concert will take place on September 28 at Aram Khachaturian concert hall.
As Panorama.am learnt from the press service at the Festival, the world-known pianist performs a new programme during his visits to Armenia. This year the concert programme includes J. S. Bach, K. Tausig: Toccata and Fugue in D-minor, Mozart: Adagio in B-minor, Beethoven: Sonata # 31, Chopin: 7 Mazurkas. Andante Spianato & the Grande Polonaise Brilliante.
The concert will take place with the support of Armenia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport.
Last time, Kissin performed in Armenia in 2017 within the framework of the "Yerevan Perspectives" festival . This year, German virtuoso violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter will visit Armenia as part of the Festival's autumn season. In 2022, Armenia will also host the 70th jubilee summit of the European Festivals Association to be accompanied with series of concerts by some of the world-known musicians.
