Robert Kocharyan offers condolences on passing of singer Hayko
Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan has extended condolences on the untimely demise of famous singer and songwriter Hayko (Hayk Hakobyan), who died from Covid-19 on Wednesday.
"It is with profound sadness and deep regret that I learned of the passing of singer and songwriter Hayko, Honored Artist of Armenia,” Kocharyan said in a message publicized by his office.
“Undoubtedly, the untimely death of our beloved Hayko is a great loss for contemporary Armenian music.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the artist's family, relatives and fans of his art,” reads the message.
