Violinist Sergei Dogadin to perform with Armenian State Symphony Orchestra
One of the brightest representatives of the Russian violin school Sergei Dogadin will perform with Armenia State Symphony Orchestra on October 2 at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. As the Orchestra reported in a press release, the concert will take place as part of “Armenia” International Music Festival.
The concert program features Tigran Mansuryan's Serenade for String Orchestra, Alexander Borodin's Polovetsian Dances from the Opera “Prince Igor” and Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major Op. 35
The concert will be conducted by Sergey Smbatyan.
To remind, “Armenia” International Music Festival opened on September 29 and will run through October 29 in Yerevan. During the 17 concerts of the festival the Armenian audience will have the chance to enjoy the performances of pianist Mikhail Pletyev, cellist Steven Isserlis, violinists Gil Shaham and Graf Mourja.
The “Armenia” International Music Festival was established in 2017 at the initiative of Sergey Smbatyan, the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra and Konstantin Ishkhanov, the President of the European Foundation for Support of Culture. The event is supported by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
