Armenians bid final farewell to singer Hayko
A farewell ceremony for famous singer and composer, Honored Artist of Armenia Hayko is being held at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan.
Hayko's relatives, friends, colleagues and fans have been visiting the concert hall since Friday morning to pay their respects to the artist.
His songs are being played in the Liberty Square, interrupted by loud applause from time to time.
The singer, whose full name was Hayk Hakobyan, passed away on Wednesday after battling Covid-19 in hospital for almost a week.
