MP: Armenian authorities seeking senseless ‘honeymoon’ with Turkey
Armenian security expert Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition With Honor faction, warns that the current regional developments may lead to a new “explosion”.
"Iran's large-scale military exercises near Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani-occupied regions of Artsakh, visible and invisible steps being taken by Azerbaijan, Turkey and Israel and the tough rhetoric suggest that the current course of the regional restructuring may lead to a new regional explosion,” he wrote on Facebook late on Thursday.
The MP highlighted that the developments are taking place in the immediate vicinity of Armenia's borders, adding they may also move to the country’s territory in the worst case scenario.
“So, what are the Armenian authorities doing in the current conditions? They are busy shifting the responsibility for the war to different figures, seeking a senseless "honeymoon" with Turkey and, of course, propagating the idea of brotherhood with Azerbaijan,” Abrahamyan said.
