Cornell Mundruzo to chair the Jury of the 18th Golden Arpicot International Film Festival
Cornell Mundruzo, Hungarian theater and film director, laureate of dozens of other prestigious film festivals in Cannes, Locarno is this year's president of the Golden Apricot 18th Yerevan IFF jury. He is famous for Pieces of a Woman, Fehér isten, Jupiter holdja as well as other films, the Festival said in a press release.
To note, Mundruzo was born in Hungary in 1975. "Pleasant Days," his first feature film, was awarded the Silver Leopard in Locarno in 2002. His second feature film, "Johanna"- a filmic opera adaptation of the story of Joan of Arc- was presented in Cannes Un Certain Regard in 2005. DELTA was In Competition at Cannes 2008 and was awarded the FIPREsci prize. In 2010, Tender Son - The Frankenstein project was also presented in Cannes Competition.
18th Golden Arpicot International Film Festival will take place on Yerevan from October 3 to 10.
