Armenia no longer guarantor of Artsakh’s security, Kocharyan says
Armenia has ceased to be the guarantor of Artsakh’s security, Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan, the leader of the opposition Armenia alliance, told a news conference on Monday, speaking about the third Karabakh war, Armenia’s defeat and its consequences.
In his words, Artsakh is now in a state of uncertainty, the Armenian authorities have stopped talking about it and do not raise the issue of settlement mechanisms.
“You may have noticed that the Armenian authorities avoid talking about Artsakh at all, do not raise the issue of settlement mechanisms, forwarding all issues to the Russian side,” Kocharyan said.
The former president is convinced that soon the society will link all the issues over Artsakh with Russia.
“Aliyev declares that he has resolved the Artsakh issue for good. Unfortunately, the Armenian side has no serious arguments left on the negotiating table,” Kocharyan pointed out.
