Magnitude 3.4 quake hits near Armenia’s Bavra village
The Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations detected a magnitude 3.4 earthquake in the Armenia-Georgia border area on Tuesday, October 5, at 12:31pm local time.
The earthquake struck 14 km north-east of the village of Bavra in Shirak Province at a depth of 10 km.
The tremor measured magnitude 4-5 at the epicenter.
The jolts were felt in the villages of Zuygaghbyur, Ashotsk and Bavra in Shirak, as well as in Tashir and Alaverdi towns and Tumanyan community of Lori Province with magnitude 3.
