Artur Vanetsyan urges Pashinyan to stop ‘cheap manipulations’
Nikol Pashinyan again avoided answering a specific question, former Director of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) Artur Vanetsyan, the head of the opposition With Honor parliamentary faction, told Hraparak.am on Thursday, referring to the premier’s remarks to the question of MP Anna Mkrtchyan at the parliament sitting on Wednesday.
Vanetsyan stated that Pashinyan avoided responsibility once again.
"As to another utter nonsense he talked due to his psycho-emotional state, I have repeatedly announced that I, as the NSS director, did ensure operational communication within my competence. This operational communication concerned exclusively the security of the state, border incidents, health and lives of people,” the opposition leader said.
“At the same time, there were media reports about the existence of an operational liaison on political issues, which was not refuted. That is, the operational communication on political issues between Nikol Pashinian and the Azerbaijani leadership was provided by another person. I would like to remind Nikol Pashinian that the communication I provided considerably decreased after a specific case and then it stopped completely.
“I urge Pashinyan to stop cheap manipulations, since I have explained at least several times that former officials of the special services, who had access to classified information, have no right to disclose any classified data gained during their service,” Vanetsyan noted.
