Caparrós hails great atmosphere in Armenian national football team ahead of Iceland clash
Head coach of Armenia’s national football team Joaquín Caparrós and midfielder Lucas Zelarayán held a news conference ahead of the match against Iceland on Thursday.
Armenia will face Iceland in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying round match on Friday, October 8.
The manager hailed the atmosphere in the squad as “great”, saying it is one of the team’s strengths.
"The national team of Iceland is completely devoted to the game. However, if we are as competitive as in previous matches and Lady Luck smiles on us, we can achieve success," said the head coach.
Caparrós says there won’t be big changes in the team's playing style during the game.
"We have a great atmosphere in the team, which is one of its strengths. We understand that there are national teams that are superior to us, but we are ahead of all in terms of mood," he stressed.
