Tributes paid to National Hero Vahagn Asatryan in Armavir
Tributes were paid to hero commander Vahagn Asatryan, who was killed in the 44-day war in Artsakh in 2020, in Armavir on 3 October.
A cross stone (khachkar) was unveiled in the Marshal Baghramyan Training Unit of Armavir in honor of Asatryan, the former commander of the military unit. Also, an auditorium of the unit was named after him, the Armavir Regional Administration reported.
The khachkar commemorating the fallen officer was consecrated by the diocesan leader of Armavir, and the doors of the auditorium named after him were opened by his sons.
Vahagn Asatryan was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Armenia.
