Armenia head coach Caparrós praises Romania ahead of Monday’s clash
Armenia’s national football team on Sunday held training camp in Bucharest ahead of a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Romania.
The Group J match is slated for Monday, October 11.
At a pre-match news conference, Armenian team head coach Joaquín Caparrós praised the “strong” Romanian team, saying it is packed with “many talented players”.
“I myself had the opportunity to coach Romanian players in Spain. I must say I enjoyed working with them,” the manager said.
“I think that Romania is distinguished by its team play. They have a clear idea of what kind of football they should play. That's the most dangerous thing in this case,” Caparrós said.
