Armenia’s crisis management center handles 414 calls in the past week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 414 calls from 4 to 10 October, of which 136 were emergency cases.
The number included 55 fire calls, 209 household calls, 57 road traffic accidents, 8 suicide attempts one explosion and one destruction, one rockfall. As a result of the recorded incidents 5 people died, 81 others suffered injuries and two citizens were rescued.
The past week saw 6 poisoning cases affecting 16 citizens.
7 cases of the blocked transport means were registered connected with the weather conditions and other factors. The rescuers rendered assistance to 7 citizens and moved 8 means of transport blocked on the roadways to safe areas.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia urges to be as vigilant as possible and preserve elementary safety rules both in everyday life and on roads.
