Lebanese army finds crashed plane, recovers bodies
The Lebanese Armed Forces Command announced on Friday that units of its naval forces and marine commandos regiment were able to find the doomed training plane that crashed off the Halat coast, the local sources reported. The army also noted that bodies of the two people who were on board of the training plane were recovered.
It concluded by saying that the plane crashed 1200 meters off the Halat coast and was found on a depth of 30 meters.
To remind, the plane crashed on Wednesday in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the Byblos region, north of the capital Beirut. The official Lebanese National News Agency said a plane belonging to Aeroclub of Lebanon crashed into the sea off the coast of the Byblos region as it was flying near the Halat area.
