Tigran Abrahamyan: Azerbaijan will continue with its policy of provocations
Azerbaijan will continue to pursue its policy of provocations amid the silence of the Armenian authorities, security expert Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition With Honor faction, said on Friday.
His comments came after six Artsakh servicemen were wounded after coming under Azerbaijani fire at a military outpost in Artsakh’s east late on Thursday. Azerbaijani forces also opened fire at several other sections of the contact line.
"The cause-effect relationship of the Azerbaijani provocations in Artsakh is not clear to many people because complete information is not provided. It is not only about the latest incidents,” he wrote on Facebook.
“In fact, Azerbaijan has resorted to various provocations in the post-war period, some of which have simply not been made public,” the lawmaker stated.
He said although the Russian peacekeeping forces are constantly preventing the escalation of the situation, it does not help reduce the Azerbaijani aggression, which has different manifestations at various sections of the line of contact.
“The most dangerous thing is that the Azerbaijani policy of provocations will continue amid the silence, inert position and indifference of the Armenian authorities escaping responsibility for Artsakh,” Abrahamyan said.
