Day of remembrance for Police Lieutenant Tigran Petrosyan held in Stepanakert
A remembrance day for Police Lieutenant Tigran Petrosyan, who perished on October 16 during the 44-day last year, war was held on Saturday in Artsakh capital Stepanakert.
Tigran Petrosyan's family members, relatives and comrade-in-arms gathered at the Stepanakert Brothers' Cemetery-Memorial Complex and paid floral tribute at the grave of the martyred officer. Interior Minister of the Artsakh Republic Karen Sargsyan and his deputy Samvel Petrosyan were present at the ceremony.
The minister expressed condolences and solidarity with family members of Petrosyan on behalf of the Police, wishing endurance and courage to overcome the grief. Archbishop Andreas Tavadyan led the religious service, calling upon all of those present to join him in prayer, asking the Lord to keep all heroes’ souls in peace.
To note, Petrosyan joined the Police detachment to defend Artsakh from the Azerbaijani large-scale military aggression on September 27. He was killed on October 16 in Hadrut.
On November 5, Petrosyan was posthumously awarded with Medal of Courage by Artsakh President.
