3 out of 13 injured in major road accident in Armenia in critical condition – Health Ministry
13 people were hospitalized after a major road accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway near Kakavadzor village early on Wednesday morning.
The mishap occurred when a Gazelle minibus drove off road and overturned at the 50th kilometer of the road. According to preliminary data, five people were killed in the accident.
The Health Ministry of Armenia said 10 injured passengers were taken to the Armenia Republican Medical Center with various injuries. Three of them are in critical condition and two are currently undergoing surgery. The other injured passengers in the Armenia Medical Center are in moderate condition.
Three passengers injured in the road accident were hospitalized at the Ashtarak Medical Center, with their condition assessed from satisfactory to moderate, the health authorities said.
