Ambassador: France will continue to provide comprehensive assistance to Armenia
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on Thursday hosted new French Ambassador to Armenia Anne Louyot in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Wishing the diplomat a productive mission in Armenia, Catholicos Karekin II emphasized that warm relations and effective cooperation have been established between the Mother See and the French Embassy, the press service of the Armenian Church reported.
His Holiness stated with gratitude that the Armenian community of France also has its contribution to the strengthening of the Armenian-French friendly ties. He expressed hope that during the ambassador's mission the friendly relations between the two countries will develop and strengthen.
At the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his gratitude to the French authorities for their support and assistance to Armenia during the Pandemic, as well as the difficult days of the war and the post-war period. In turn, Ambassador Anne Louyot expressed her gratitude to His Holiness for the warm reception and reaffirmed that France will continue to provide comprehensive assistance to Armenia.
