Outgoing Armenian ambassador to Iran visits Isfahan
In the final days of his diplomatic mission, Armenia’s Ambassador to Iran Artashes Toumanian accompanied by his wife, Anahit Shahverdyan, paid a visit to Isfahan.
The Armenian diplomat attended the candlelight tribute ceremony in memory of victims of the 44-day war in Ararat Sports and Cultural Complex of the Armenian community of Nor Jugha and visited the recently opened Armenian Music Museum of Nor Jugha, the Armenian Embassy in Iran reported on Sunday.
Later, Bishop Sipan Kechejian, Prelate, welcomed the Armenian ambassador in his office. The interlocutors had discussion regarding Iranian-Armenian community and Pan-Armenian issues as well.
A dinner-meeting had been organized in Ararat Complex with authorities and some officials of the Armenian community․ A number of Armenian musical compositions were performed․ The participants exchanged views on issues of Armenia-Iran relations and regional developments.
The representatives of the Armenian community expressed gratitude to Ambassador Artashes Toumanian for his efforts and activities during his tenure, wishing him success in future as well.
The ambassador appreciated the Prelacy for the support to the Armenian Embassy during his tenure.
