Too early to speak of the maps as there are no negotiations on delimitation, Deputy FM says
"There is a need for resumption of the Artsakh peace process, and our efforts are aimed at reaching that," Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahe Gevorgyan told reporters at a briefing in parliament. In his words, all issues, including the status of Artsakh, will be discussed in the course of the peace process. "At this stage we need to start the process under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group," stressed the deputy minister.
Asked what are the maps Armenia is prone to use for the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Gevorgyan said: "It is a bit early to speak of that. To speak about demarcation we need to have delimitation talks. As long as there are no negotiations on delimitation, speaking of what maps and documents we take for ground is too early. When there are negotiations, we will reflect on those issues," said Gevorgyan.
Asked to comment about the recent statement of Turkish president Erdogan, who had claimed that Aliyev and Pashinyan had discussed the 3+3 regional cooperation format, the deputy foreign minister said: "Those reports are not true."
