Exhibition featuring the works of Alexey Papovyan to open at Folk Arts Museum
An exhibition and book presentation dedicated to famous sculptor Alexey Papovyan's 80th birth anniversary and bright memory will take place at Hovhannes Sharambeyan Folk Arts Museum on November 10 at 18:00. As the museum reported the exhibition will feature the artist’s sculptures and graphic works.
It is noted that Papovyan used transformation in his sculptures to express dramatic shadings to raise moral-ethical issues. His works are preserved at Folk Arts Museum, National Gallery of Armenia, the Moscow Tretyakov Gallery and in number of private collections in Yerevan, Paris, Moscow, Budapest, and Riga.
The exhibition, which is organized with the support of Sculptor’s wife Angela Vardanyan, will be open till November 24.
