11 maternal deaths reported in the past nine months in Armenia
11 maternal deaths have been registered in Armenian within nine months of this year due to pregnancy and childbirth complications, the statistics show. According to the figures released by the National Statistical Service (NSS), the maternal mortality ratio was estimated 41.0 in the indicated period against 15.1 of January-September 2020.
The death cases among infants aged 0-1 has been 183 for the nine months of 2021, 107 of whom were boys. The number in 2020 stood at 203, of whom 53 were out of the territory of Armenia.
