Seyran Ohanyan: Yerevan-Goris roadway remains in fact under the Azerbaijani control
"After the end of the 2020 war, the border tensions, especially in Gegharkunik and Syunik sections, continue," the head of opposition 'Armenia' faction Seyran Ohanyan stated on Tuesday during a press conference at parliament. In his words, this is the result of the fact that following the defeat in the recent war, the Armenian authorities have been reconciled with the defeatist policy, and the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem have occurred in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
"The adversary continues exerting pressures on Armenia's authorities as the international practice shows defeated leadership is always under the dictate of the adversary on the international arena," said Ohanyan.
The opposition MP stressed that by speaking about peace, the adversary has pulled Armenian authorities into a trap which is an illusion about peace but in reality the anti-Armenian rhetoric continues also through certain actions, as the enemy has intruded further into the territory of Armenia.
"In reality, Yerevan-Goris roadway remains in fact under the Azerbaijani control. The main aim is obvious. The realization of the idea of the so-called 'Zangezur corridor' as part of unblocking of routes and infrastructure for the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem," said Ohanyan, adding the unblocking of communication routes will lead to further blockade of Armenia, economic pressures and change of demographic picture.
